water pressure reducer

Periodically if I can tell the water pressure in a campground is too high I use a pressure regulator. I had a simple one with no gauge and it was so low you could hardly take a shower. I purchased a better one with a pressure gauge and still have the same problem Are there ones that are adjustable that you can increase the water flow or are they all alike. Jim
  • hi flow regulators will solve you issues they are set at 50-55# but the flow of the water is not reduced much. I had an adjustable one but its started to leak so I went to the hi flow and works great.
  • Buy a new regulator that says "High Flow" and it will solve your problems.

    Watts Pressure Regulator

I have mine set at 45, but same regulator and showerhead. We're a hairy family and it works well for us.
  • Typical rv water pumps are 45#

    Newer style pumps have 55#

PEX is rated for over 100# but fittings are the weak link

    45-60# is OK

Watts makes an adjustable pressure regulator
Valterra makes an adjustable one also

High flow and adjustable.....best of both worlds.

Shower......check hose connection on faucet and/or inside handle for flow restrictions. Remove/drill out for increased flow. Higher flow faster grey tank fills

I could be wrong, and often am, just ask my wife, but I thought the max pressure should be about 45psi
  • Some devices have a small disc water saver.
Shower head could be removed from the pipe, look for a washer with a small hole. This is a water saver.
You can remove it, but remember you will be using more water.

Increase the flow or the pressure? The flow is inherent to the design of the device, some do have adjustable pressure.
