Water pump indicator light

My water pump switch has a little red light that comes on when the pump is switched to on. Lately it had been acting up, when switched on, the pump will work but the light will not come on then after a little while it will come on? Is this a sign that something might be about to fail in the water pump? The water pump has been working fine and not missing a beat.

    Look for a loose connection on the back of the switch. As mentioned, a new lighted rocker switch is very inexpensive.

    Just this page has a good selection.

    Replace the switch, or drill a hole and add an LED light. When my water heater switch quit lighting up, I replaced the switch. Cheap and easy fix.

    i added a 12v LED light on the surface of the cabinet, easier to see
    in case i forget to switch off before starting up
