Did you have it connected to water. Sometimes the back flow in the pump does not work and if connected to shore water you will get water in the tank which can overflow. I resolved this problem by putting a valve before the pump, so if I use shore water I shut it off. Using the pump, I turn it on. I know this was not your issue, but thought I would give you a heads up.
