Water supply hose recommendations

I have 2 hoses, one that does not roll up easily and kinks, and the other that never kinks and is easy to roll up. The one that kinks is Camco, and the other is a neverkink. If I ever replace the Camco it will be with another neverkink.

I have a flat hose and it is true that they leak at the fittings. Mine is only 24 years old and the male fitting started leaking about four years ago. I carry several Gilmore replacement ends and used one on the hose, no problem with that one. I keep mine in a plastic bag and try not to ever lay it out on anything harder than grass. Don't know the name but I plan on buying a spare one in case this one dies an early death.

The very flat and compact hose I have kinks very easily. I have a 25' long regular 1/2" one I use only at the house, another semi-flat 25' hose for the road, and a 10' long standard 1/2" hose also for the road.

Most of the time the 10' long hose is all that is needed whether at a site with full hookups or getting water at a USFS or similar campground. If the 10' is not long enough I add the 25' semi-flat hose. If that is not long enough I pull out the 25' flat fabric hose to get a total reach of 50-60 feet. The biggest advantage was in getting the 10' hose and being able to use it by itself 95% of the time.

Cost a bit more than Wally's Chinese RV hose - but well worth the extra bucks!

If you really need/want roll flat hose - make sure it qualifies as for potable water use.

The Neverkink is really good in my book. Mine are many years old and going strong.

Although the sounds good for 2-3 years I've had my white hose for 6 years now and it still looks new..invest in a good one and it will not kink and will roll up nicely.

The Coil n'Wrap company has some really neat small device that make it easy to coil water hoses - even when they are cold.
They also make them for shore power cables and exterion tank and grill propane hoses.

Another vote for the flat Handihose - but a note about care and feeding: Do NOT drag them across the ground at any time. That will shorten their life. Avoid running them across asphalt and gravel - try to lay them down on grass when you roll them out. Do that and you will get 2-3 years at least out of them.
