I love this topic. We discuss it here on the Forum at least once a year. Up here in the mountains we wave at everything and everybody. When driving the index finger up (as described by Jim Shoe) is acceptable. If you are in the passenger seat, you need to flap the whole wrist! Down in Sopchoppy, not so much waving as there used to be. I think it is the Yankee influence. lizzie
