I would like to get more tension onto my wdh, but if I go an entire link I'll be at 5 and the bar will be very very close to the frame. Can I get more wd using the same 6 links if I angle the ball o...

Thanks. That's what suspected and that's how I had it previously. When we got our new trailer the guy at the dealer removed a few washers. I'll probably put them back. I like plenty of tension but don't want to get too close to the frame.
Not sure how many washers are allowed or even that the ones I have are uniform in size but the way I used to have it seemed to work well.
