48 F and raining here today. The next few days are forecast to be sunny, highs in the mid-50s and lows around 40. We watch the TV weather reports about the mid-West and East Coast with a certain detachment. We had a mild overnight frost (30F) a couple of days ago.
Sure, it can be dull grey and wet for several weeks in winter, but I'm more than happy to trade that for what the mid-West and East Coast are having. We're about 50 miles south of the border with Canada, and we haven't see any snow this winter. Most nights since early November the temp hasn't dropped below about 26F.
