Yeah, sure, there's something to be said for not 'stupidly' tailgating, but it's not that simple and I'm thinking your opinion is very much in the minority.
I think enough folks have posted that the law is pretty clear...dropping big heavy frozen stuff off of your vehicle is illegal.
By your logic, there's no need to strap down 4 by 8 sheets of plywood. If one flies off, it's the problem of the vehicle behind?
OK, maybe it's wise to risk the ticket vs. falling off a ladder if it's
truly fresh, loose snow up there.
However, there's quite a few, innocent
dead people (and plenty of lost lawsuits) from harder
chunksof stuff flying off.
