Few weeks ago I went to Blaine to pick up a parcel in the car like I often do. US border guy says "what model of Subaru is that?" It's DW's car and I couldn't remember in the moment. I say " it's a Legacy, umm, no wait, it's an Impreza, no wait, um I can't remember". Thinking I'm getting into some kind of trouble and maybe he thinks I stole it or something, I start to reach for the glove box to get the paperwork. He then says "Nah, that's okay, I'm thinking of getting one and just wanted to know what you think about it." I said it was the best car we've ever had and he says have a nice day. OMG, thanks a lot dude!! You just never know what trick question they're going to ask. :M
I got the same question asked of me about the border guard buying a BMW, but it was going to Point Bob.
