Went on a cruise to Alaska last year and left from Canada. The trip into Canada on the tour bus was uneventful, but getting on the boat,the US customs people were real butts. Slow, brusque, slow, and acted really stupid. Ours took my enhanced license with no problems and then questioned my wife's as to why our names weren't the same. It was; you live at the same address, why isn't your name the same as his.
I have found this to be true at other crossings in the PNW. Going into Canada is easy, but getting back into this country can be a real pain depending on the person's mood that's checking you thru.
