I have a Midland "Pocket" model (Fits in a pocket) that is powered by the house battery system, I do not turn it off.
All my ham radios channel 30 and up from there are programmed with NOAA frequencies, As they add more channels, I program more memories.
Why 30 and up.....
Well, the first radio I programmed, I put 162.55 (NOAA in the Detroit Metro area) in 30, so I made it a personal standard.
