yes weight it after you pick it up.. It will tell you a lot if the WD hitch is set up properly.. Make sure tank is full or close too it. And for the first pull inflate tires to max pressure cold on side wall..
Heres what you do...
Drive to the scale and weight the truck and trailer with WD engaged.. This is around 14 buck.
After she says your weighed stay there. Just unhook the bars and leave then there. Your just dis engaging the WD is all. No need to remove from the truck side . Hit the button and get a re weigh.. Its about 2 bucks.
Then pull off when they say your weighed.
Take the trailer to a safe location and unhook the trailer. Go back to the scale and weigh the truck only. 2 bucks.
Remember you need individual axle weights.
Input those #'s here and post back the results..
http://towingplanner.com/ActualWeights/TravelTrailerCatScalesThis will tell you all your weights you need to know.. It will tell you if your WD hitch is set up properly
But after you post those #'s you need to post the axle ratings front and rear from the door tag.
With those #'s we can then tell if your overloaded or not.
Also post the tire ratings max psi and at what lbs..
We can guide you further with this info..
Oh and take a side pic of your set up truck and trailer so we can see how level you are...And a lic of the WD bars engauged.
Loading up should not be much of a concern is your set up right from ablove
Good luck..
