Weight Distribution hitch..

Hey guys, I know this has been beat to death, but my wife and I will be picking up our new TT this coming week. It's a done deal. Currently we have a smaller TT and an Eaz-Lift WDH 1000/10,000lbs. Our new TT is a 2014 Salem by Forest River 29 UD3, it's 36.5 ft long, dry weight of 7900#s and a "declared" hitch weight of 984#s, and a heavy weight of 11,00ish. We have to upgrade our hitch so I've been looking at the Reese Straightline with sway control, and the Equilizer. I think I'm set on the Reese Straightline but I'm wondering if 1200#/12,000#s will be enough. I've read on here about the hitch weight "always" being more than declared. We have three kids and always pack pretty heavy, can you guys throw some thoughts out to me? Thanks in advance..Phil

EDIT: Also which Reese Straightline is recommended..trunnion bars..or round bars..Thanks to all.
