I'mm not surprised. TTs and any high walled trailer tend to tow better with closer to 15% TW than 10%, which is every manufacturer's bumper pull recommendations range.
All 2015+ 3/4 ton trucks come with 2.5" OEM receivers I believe with 1400+ pound TW for weight carrying. A big upgrade from 5+ years ago when receivers were a lot weaker and needed WD over 6000 pounds.
