If you like that heavier trailer better....get it. Hope that fuel stays in the two dollar range. Last summer, at over $4.00, I whipped out hundred dollar bills to keep the 32 gallon tank full.
How do you know why the OP buys a trailer or truck? Why do people jump all over someone because they have a concern that others do not share?
To the OP, I fear 800 lbs will make little difference. I've towed an empty 20' cargo trailer (couldn't have been more than 2000 lbs) with nearly the same frontal area as my 6500 TT. I was around 13 mpg, where I'm at 10-11 w/ my TT that weighed three times as much.
