Weird one...left today, turned the outdoor LED strip on since it would be dark upon return. Got back, LED strip was out, I thought that maybe I did not turn it on....wife came in and said it was on...and about half of the ceiling lights were out when she turned them on. She turned the furnace on (she was chilly) and everything DC started working... Any ideas? Keep in mind, we full time, so we have not moved or changed anything in a couple months. I honestly do not recall any electrical problems prior to tonight, but nothing has been glaringly wrong. I have my thoughts as to what the problem may be, but wanted to see if anyone has experienced such a problem before.Thanks,Cale

I presume you are connected to 110V at your site, and the 12V is coming from your converter, right? ST

Battery or converter failed/failing? Bad connection/s? Hard to solve it at the keyboard without much more information.

Blown fuse 12 volt panel.. Since the furnace worked, and half the lights worked, and I assume the fridge and water heater or you'd have mentioned.Blown fuse on house 12 volt panel.Optional bad ground if all the failed lamps have a common ground. point. Option 2: Bad connection.. Most likely on the 12 volt panel.. My 12 volt panel uses a type of connector that does not NORMALLY come loose but .. Well, this assumes it is fully connectedMy 120 volt panel had screw so loose it was scary.. Some 12 volt panels also use screws.

I can verify on Friday...but I am leaning towards converter. We have been fulltiming since OCT 2014 in this TH, have not moved since 3 JAN 15, I don't think anything has come loose. Well, seeing that everything started working once a load was put on the converter, I'd suspect a spike in the CG power that put the converter into some unknown state. If it happens again, cycle the breaker on the power pedestal.Do you have a power conditioner?

I am going to crawl into the basement to check the voltage coming from the converter tomorrow...I will start at the batteries and work backwards to the power panel. Another weird thing this morning, I have two ceiling lights out now, they are LED puck lights...I wonder if it is a coincidence.

Not a conditioner per se, but a Progressive Industries EMS-PT50C. I did walk out to check the numbers at the pedestal last night...was reading 124v each leg and no Errors...

Is there a way to reset the convert or test for the power (voltage) that it is putting out? I am comfortable with electricity, I am just trying to do some research on converters now....
