My stepson was driving his uncle, because his uncle's right foot was in a cast. The stepson had a seizure while travelling the turnpike at 70mph. Luckily, the uncle was able to grap the wheel,then get his left foot over to the brake to stop in the middle of the road. Not an easy task considering the center armrest was down, meaning he had to really stretch to grap the wheel (the average full size P/U is wide).Uncle said they came real close to hitting the barrier in the middle...very glad the road had a wide shoulder on both sides.
Tell your DW & DD to atleast be prepared to grab the wheel.
If you bondock, with no cell service & a long walk to help. They should learn how to drive out...even if it means rubbing the sides to do so.
