Was there a specific public area to clean fish? If not I'd much rather have the mess and resulting stench confined to a campsite than a public area. Depending on the ground cover, scooping up the mess with a shovel may be the quickest solution.

I'd take a gaggle of rednecks any day over the "burn plastic trash in the fire" crowd that seems prevalent in my state.

It does sound like the methods were questionable, but any REAL redneck knows how to clean fish. Are you sure wasn't suburban vacationites instead?

I once saw a redneck with his ratty Prevost T-bone a coyote on the highway at a high rate of speed. Guts and blood all over the place. Never stopped to pick up the pieces. Just left it all right there in the middle of the road. But he stopped to see if he damaged his MH. What a pig.

And talk about pigs...I went to a picnic where they cooked a pig and all the rednecks came and just picked it apart and ate it like carnivores. With there fingers. Called it a Pig Pickin. If you haven't tried it, don't knock it.

Reminds me of the two cannibals on the beach. Sitting on each side of body that washed up on shore. One says to the other..."Hey... How you Doin?" The other replies..."Oh...I am having a ball."

Then there was the trucker that threw a gator of one of his tires. Never picked that up either. Pigs all over the place.

I was invited to a c/g fishfry once. The host and a few guests caught a bunch of catfish. They baited them and caught about 100. Several guys nailed their heads to a nearly vertical board...which was nailed to a tree at the top.... and skinned each fish in about 20 seconds. Then gutted in about another 20 seconds. A big metal tub was at the bottom of the skinning board to catch the waste.

Best fish I ever ate. These guys knew what they were doing. Redneck???? Maybe...But that doesn't make them bad people.

While I lack redneck credentials, I do hate to see any group impugned by the behavior of a few.

I've cleaned some Bream, on a picnic table, at a campground in Michigan. Did not leave a mess anywhere. Put plastic, on the table. The entrails etc went into a plastic trash bag.
Where do I get my Redneck badge and bandanner or is current id a bubba hat and torn sleeve shirt? :) I refuse to chew Redman though.
