Only in your imagination is 50% inflation okay for tires under load. Period.
I suppose you expect every load center (sand, gravel, coal, wood, lumber, blocks, etc) to have a customer air station so they can pull in with 50% inflated tires, load up, then stop and add air to their tires? Get real.
Look. We aren't debating 'Ford vs Chevy' or who has the best football team. Proper and SAFE tire inflation is potentially Life and Death stuff- literally. Telling people they should be running their tires at 50% inflation can really get people hurt- or worse! :E
Can you point us to something from tire mfgs or vehicle mfgs that documents never to run your tires at less than 90% of the sidewall max number? Everything I have read says otherwise.
