52 degrees where I live, but windy making it feel much colder than it really is. Weather man said this morning that temps are suppose to get to 25 and then tomorrow stay near 32. Guess what I just got done doing?
It's now port-a-potty time!
I was able to run the pink on a little less than 2 gallons. It took almost 3/4 of a gallon to run the first line, from the pump to the bathroom sink cold. After that, the rest took very little.
Took 10 minutes to do it. I did clean the tanks out first. It took about an hour of flushing the black tank with the wand that goes down the toilet and the built in black tank rinser. Dumped in my blue tote, then down my septic tank. Took about 4 trips. Amazing, the 3rd blue tote fill up, water quit running. I thought, oh no! Clog. I used the wand some more and then went back outside and watched. (clear section of drain pipe, you can see everything). And sure enough, a gigantic wad of toilet paper went ... ker-plunk! Had I not continued to rinse and rinse and rinse, that glob would have remained in there and probably turned into a hard rock over the winter.
That was the 3rd tote fill up. The forth ran clear water from the black tank! Success! The remains of a very successful camping season. We've got some good winter camping ahead though, and decided to go to Georgia over Christmas week, instead of South Carolina. So we ain't done yet!
