- TurnThePageExplorerYes, this is an old, dead argument. It kind of reminds me of the conversations about Toyota, Datsun and Honda cars back in the 70s. You'll never get parts for those...

A Champion is just as easy to service and repair as a Honda. Either have parts readily available. Your service shop knows he can mark up Honda parts more than Champion and Honda warranty pays more for Labour. Of course he wants you to bring in a Honda for service. - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIThese off brand gens have been discussed many times on here. YEP they are cheap. YEP they may leave you with a boat anchor when needing repairs.
Buy quality right from the start and you will have for many years. Bought a used Honda 2000 in 2011. Never done a thing besides change oil. Still starts right up.
I guess if that makes me a "nay-sayer" I am fine with that. - ThermoguyExplorer IIRepairing generators can be a big issue unless you know someone or do it yourself. I have a Champion, which is a well known brand. I have a regular shop I take my Stihl yard equipment for service. They also service Honda. Asked them about the Champion, they said no way... so I imagine all these other less known brands are even harder to service. But, you could buy that Wen for less than a tune up on a Honda...

Until you need parts. - NamMedevac_70Explorer III have had very good luck with my cheap chinese knockoff Firman 2000 that I bought on sale at costco for 350.00 earlier this year. Half the price Sportsman warehouse was asking for same Gen. It is quiet in econo mode and has RV plug with adapter plus usb and regular AC plug with low oil shut off. Pull start is easy on the hands and starts with first or second pull. Came with parallel kit. Does everything I need and then some. Would have bought two but no need at this time.
Most everything I use runs on the quiet econo mode including powerful floor fan with no surging or gen decay.
I enjoy being a bully to the bullies on another forum. Cheers to the good guys - Ron3rdExplorer IIISaw that deal yesterday. Very tempting.
- LwiddisExplorer IINot a bad price.
