There is decent stuff made in China, along with the drek. It's a matter of the spec they are required to build to.
I believe most Champion Genny's are China made, and they are well reguarded, the same can be said for Motorola and RCA products made in the last 15-20 years.
A lot of Canadian folks seem to get a lot of the WEN genny's through a couple of outlets up there, and most seem pretty happy with the products.
