Wet baths: good or bad?

Had them in foreign apartments, ship cabins, don't care for the inconveniences of trying to do other things in a wet bathroom, particularly when trying to share so that it ends up being wet at the wrong time. Thus I would avoid it for a RV unless space requirements demanded a wet bath solution. If I downsize, they might, but It would be something I use solo.

Our 1972, 25 foot Airstream Trade Winds had a wet bath. Had the trailer for 20 years. Never minded the wet bath and used it, seldom making a walk to the campground showers. We also had a wet bath on one of the boats we lived on. Trick is to take a towel and dry it down each day after using it. Keeps it clean and dry. You just need some self-discipline. However for some, thats a much larger project than they can do.

I store my laundry basket in my tub/shower and it doesn't take but a few seconds to clear it out. I never use the public facilities but only use my own shower. If you tend to use the campground facilities, a wet bath might work fine.

If all other aspects of the RV you are considering meet your requirements then the wet bath should be acceptable.

We love our wet bath! It is easy to keep clean and quick to dry out using the exhaust fan. Also, my wife may have been a duck or mermaid in a previous life, because she can sure splash water all over the place when using the sink - and that's never a problem in a wet bath.

it was fine. a bit annoying cause I did wipe up/dry off the toilet etc. a little, then threw on the fan. overall we did not mind it cause when one wants a shower in the middle of nowhere, too cold outside, it is a nice thing to have :)

ours was mildew free and didn't have any problems with it being a wet bath ever.

it is tight. those baths are very small but something like shaving can be accomplished. all can be handled but in a smaller package.

would I get another with a wet bath. No. I did it before, it was fine, but at this point I don't want to handle that again.

when I was considering a truck camper I did not rule out wet baths but preferred one with a separate shower area mainly for storage, not taking a shower. when I was looking at small TTs I sort of liked a R-Pod which had a wet bath but what killed it was a postage stamp sized sink, no vanity, etc.

When I shower at home it's wet in there. LOL. I like the wet bath in a TC because the shower is actually bigger than the same model with a dry bath. Not only that, the dry bath and separate toilet takes up valuable floor space. No need to wipe the whole place down, just leave the door open and turn on the fantastic fan till it dries out.

We had a wet-bath once, once. Hated it. She took a couple sponge-rinse-off's in it. I can't say I ever did.

A wet bath is not preferred, but may be necessary due to trailer size.
