I can tell you from 57 years of driving in every condition up here in the cold north, that the first thing you do is into neutral.Easing off the gas or taking your foot off the gas is as bad as braking, and is worse with a manual then an auto. And stay the course don't start see sawing the steering wheel because you will over compensate. And lastly if you are going to hit something do it straight on where your best protection is in the vehicle.Black ice at just barely freezing is bad stuff, more then once I have been fooled thinking it was just wet pavement and ended up on my backside.Four wheel drive when all four wheels are not rotating is impossible to steer, you need to do everything to keep the steering wheels rotating to have any hope of directional control.Slight increase in power is sometimes better to steer around it if you can.Non of it any good, too bad about the truck corners, front end straight on may have bent the bumper only.Be safe.
