What are some high mileage pull units on here?

The warranty on ST tires is 3 years or 10,000 miles whichever comes first. Why would anyone in their right mind buy a tire with that kind of warranty in today's tire market?

Nearly 16 years FT and 2 5'ers. Total hauling: 231K miles. We've been a few places. :B

I could go & total up all of my trip miles from the routes on my MS Streets & Trips files but a good estimate is about 60 to 70K miles on the trailer since 2010.

The big money has been spent on trailer running gear upgrades. Everything gets a good going over every spring from spring hanger mount areas of frame down.

My currant TT was made in 1993. I'm just a weekend camper that stays within 100 miles of my home. I'm guesstimating that I put 1200 miles on it a year. So if the last owner did the same thing that would be 276000 miles. But, that is a awful lot of guessing. There is no real way to know.

No wonder the suspension squeaks so much. I should really fix that some year.

My last TT was made in the 80's I sold it to some friends that are still using it. The one before that was made in the 70's. I know it is still in use but, I have not seen it in awhile. The one before that was made in 1969. The friend that I sold that one too no longer tows it. He uses it in his backyard so, that one is no longer getting miles put on it.

2011 - 1,275 miles - 12 nights - mostly one trip to northern Arkansas from Dallas
2012 - 3,671 miles - 57 nights - all in Texas - two trips Dallas area to Houston area
2013 - 3,089 miles - 59 nights - all in Texas - one trip to Corpus Christi area from Dallas
2014 - 6,586 miles - 307 nights - two trips to west Texas / New Mexico
2015 - 9,253 miles - 365 nights - West Texas to Dallas to Key West to Connecticut - to Dallas
2016 - 810 miles - 59 nights - Central Texas

My first trailer was from Sep 2011 to Nov 2013 - 7,663.5 miles
My current trailer from Nov 2013 - 17,022.5 miles (replaced original ST tires after 9,000 miles with higher load range tires)

We have camped at least one night in 29 different states with the current trailer.

My current TV - 2012 Ram 2500 - has towed both for 21,469.7 miles - yet the truck has 55,000 miles.

My unscientific guess, not knowing anything about their lifestyle, is that 160,000 miles on the truck means between 80-100,000 miles of actual towing.

Seattle to Hartford will be about 3,000 miles towing without side trips. Two round trips per year - 12,000 miles. Ten years - 120,000 miles minimum on the trailer seems likely, 140,000 would not be unusual. That also equals 2,181 hours windshield time @ 55 mph avg.

As our daily driver on trips, which have included 12 months in 2014 and 2015 as volunteers in three locations - ends up being used more than twice as many miles as towing.

I put over 400,000 miles on my 1975 Airstream- went through 5 tow vehicles, over 17 years. Bought it in 1983, sold in in 1990- it is still going strong.

Our 2nd full timing 5th, which we towed for 11 yrs, was just shy of 200,000 miles while the puller had 380,000 miles during the same period. Tires would get replaced because they wore out, not because they aged out.

My current '97 5er has around 155k miles which isn't many miles per year.

I can remember by the tires I've used and bought for the unit.
..Used the trailer 11k the first summer with USA made Marathons.
..The 2nd summer dumped the Marathons for Cooper SRM II LT tires. Ran them for 52k miles.
.. Ran the next set of Firestone transforce HT for 45k miles. They get replaced this spring with Cooper HT3 LT tires.
.. Current BFG Commercial LT tires has around 47k miles.

I would say there are lots of RV trailers on the road with more miles than that and in a shorter time frame than mine..

I restored my Starcraft at 41 yrs. It is now on year 45.

7 yrs. FT and truck had 110,000.....5th wheel 70,000

Funny thing.......racked up more miles on my daily drivers when I was working
35K working.....12K-15K FT Traveling

But never put as many miles on a RV as when we were FT.
