what are the most common things that break?
I have seen several threads asking what tools should be in the rv toolbox. The electrician will list multimeters and connectors and a welder will say..you know how it goes. So maybe a better way...

A reverse way of considering this problem would be to consider what you feel comfortable repairing while on the road. As I doubt I would ever tear down an engine or replace suspensions, I wouldn't carry any tools capable of such. Minor plumbing, minor electrical, anything that can be fixed with a screw driver, pliers, or hammer - I can manage, so those I carry.
