Since we have a motorhome, I carry a 200 piece mechanics tool set with e1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" sockets. I also carry a cordless drill, screwdrivers for when the space is too tight for the drill and channel locks. I will be buying a multimeter and leave it in the motorhome since last year when I needed it, I forgot to bring it. Our seasonal camp site is within 2 miles of my parents and my wife's parents, so if other tools are needed, they are close by.
Last year we had a bunch of small things go wrong. The biggest of which was the converter/charger failed and the shower drain leaked. We limped along on the failed converter/charger by using a battery charger to keep the battery charged. It was the last thing to go and I didn't feel like bothering with it after dealing with all the other issues. I could have replaced the converter/charger while there, but I just didn't want to be bothered.
