tomman58, I read lonesome dove a few years ago. For some reason that book did not appeal to me. When I was maybe in my early twenties of late teens I did read some of the Lous Lamour books. I was pretty much of a book pig, I read them one right after the other. I have to admit, I am something of a book hoarder. I have a stack of books on my dresser that are in the pipeline. Everyplace I go, I look for books. When we are traveling , if we stay at a place that doesn't have a sharing library, I leave the books that I have read and are with me in their little store of office. I cant imagine anyone not having a book in their hands.
