Coming to the party a little late but this post gave me a chuckle and really helped. My sister-in-law-librarian sent me the 2016 Reading Challenge. Not sure who started it but I've joined and if anyone would like to join me, I'd welcome the company.

4) A book recommended to you by a librarian or bookseller
5) A book you should have read in school
6) A book chosen for you by your spouse, partner, sibling, child or BFF
7) A book that was banned at some point

9) A book you own but have never read
10) A book that intimidates you
11) A book that you have read at least once.
12) A book published before you were born.
So I'm reading "Listen Liberal" which I think covers 8 and 10 and maybe even 9 as I've had it awhile now, but as that isn't quiet in the spirit of the thing, I'm going to explore other possibilities.
If your interested, my sister-in-law, slash librarian suggested I read When Books Went to War: The Stories that Helped us Win World War II. Or, Born Survivors: Three Young Mothers and their Extraordinary Story of Courage, Defiance, and Hope.
