Had planned to be with a recently widowed niece in Ocala, Fl for Christmas, but with the forecast of ice with snow on top coming in tonight - up to 12" by tomorrow night, we figure we'll probably be at home for Christmas because we'll probably get more snow before now and then. Don't know about New Years, but we usually make it a point to not be on the road that night.
Last year we went down there to spend Christmas, but heard a big snow storm was coming in Christmas day here in Indiana and husband had a medical procedure scheduled for Jan. 2. Knew if we didn't get home before the snow hit, we'd never get the motorhome up the hill to our house and he'd miss his procedure. We wound up on the road Christmas eve day all the way through Christmas day. Got home in time to unload what we needed and to winterize the motorhome before the storm hit. It was a bad one. At the last minute the doctor cancelled the procedure, too. Bummer!
