If you really like the suburban you could swap the gears to 3.73. this will up the tow rating to whatever they rate it at with the 3.73. Not sure if 3.73 was an option, but it will tow effortlessly. if you have 4WD then you will have to do front and rear axles. at that point you have to ask yourself if its worth it or just go to a better equipped vehicle?
