Trying to find a TT that can fit all 5 of us plus the family dog; really happy with the Suburban (until now) and would prefer not to upgrade the vehicle at this point. Probably once the kids get bigger, but right now they are preschool age. Found a used 2016 Forest River Salem Cruise Lite 201bhxl for $9500 out-the-door which sounded perfect... as much as I want to make it work, we would also plan on taking it into the mountains.

Hmm thats heavy.. Not bad but it is a 7500 lb trailer.
Since you say you will tow in mountains you will need a trans cooler.

You will be best off starting with this type of hybrid. You can sleep 8 and all will be comfortable.
