BurbMan

HI Rudderman and welcome to the forum! The TT in your first post will likely be fine to tow with your burb. It's at the upper end of what the truck can handle since if it's 4200 UVW, it will likely be at 5200 lbs after you get all your gear packed in there. I would certainly not go any heavier. With the family and tongue weight of the trailer you will loaded to the max.
The 5.3 is a strong motor and the newer 6L80E is a much better transmission than the old 4L60E they used to put in the 1500 burbs. I would add a larger transmission cooler and also a transmission temp gauge on the dash so you can keep an eye on temps going up hills.
The 3.08 axle ratio is not helping your tow rating but the 6 speed transmission makes up for some of that. If you are serious about hitting the mountains, I would advise swapping those gears to 3.73's, cost is about $2000 to do both axles (4x4).
If you do a gear change I would also suggest a Mag-Hytec differential cover to increase fluid capacity and running synthetic axle oil if it didn't come with it from the factory.
Other "tow package" items include a larger radiator and an external engine oil cooler, but you may not need those depending on how it tows.
You have a nice truck so I don't blame you for not wanting to have to swap it out, but be prepared to spend a few large in mods with this trailer.
I would also suggest you to consider hybrid trailers, they are hardsided, usually very light, and have the canvas bunk ends that extend front/rear. This gives you a lot of room relative to the weight of the trailer.
