Whatever you decide to do, please follow up and let us know how it works out. My suggestion is to get the trailer, take it camping a few times, if you don’t like it get something different. Buy in the off season and sell when prices are up. If you pay cash for your trailer, you won’t be out much money and you will learn what you really want or what you can or can’t have. I towed with a Tahoe with a 3.08:1 rear end and the six speed. It did ok, probably as good as my suburban with a 3.73:1 and 4 speed did. Of course neither of mine went in the mountains, so that could have completely changed my mind.
