The new ones are good...if you heard someone play one of them and then play the same piece on a baby grand, a Rhoades, or a B3, you could not tell the difference! They are THAT good!

I don't mind someone enjoying their music if it is played with consideration of others or if others want to be in on the party. But- If the music is loud, and people try to talk over it, then they can't hear the music so they turn it up, then people try to talk over it, then they can't hear the music so they turn it up, then.........

However, Yak, that looks like a good time for everyone!

looks like a good time. all those tie die shirts had me looking for a certain pipe that brings peace. :)

I generally don't mind music during the day, and even at night if it's kept at a reasonable volume. Don't open the truck windows and blast your car stereo with huge bass though, that gets my attention real quick (especially with a 6 month old trying to sleep).

What got me this weekend though, was the family reunion set up in one of the large "group camping" spots with the PA system so loud you could hear them a mile away with their jabbering.

They weren't playing music, they were announcing things like "the next foot race is starting in 2 minutes" and "the three legged race will be in 45 minutes". Drove me crazy!

Lots of time hearing music - some good, some not so good.

Here, got a good one and not so good. Was laying in bed one night in Everglades park, suddenly hear an 'ok' guitar and the single most beautiful voice I've ever heard come out of a human singing folk and ballads - an amazing female vocalist - she sang for several hours, alone, with just the guitar.

My wife has been a singer over forty years, and I know a voice - this woman was the best I ever heard. She belonged to a church group just returned from SA on a mission - never sings for anyone but herself, and anyone in earshot - I'd have signed her to a contract and made a million bucks in a hot minute - but she sings for pure enjoyment - and amazing night.

This weekend in Nickerson Park on Cape Cod sounded like a guy was learning how to play a flute. Was okay, sorta, but needed practice, which he was doing, hour, hour, hour, after hour. Been okay if he'd change songs, but same one over and over, trying to get it right.

I'll choose the singer in EGP anytime ... :)

My DW and I woke up early one morning with a lady next to us playing a small organ and singing. The howling dogs sounded much better!!

Well the kid is still camping.. but not at that park.. he's now camping at a county park... The one where they do not let you leave.


I certainly hope the local police were notified.

I'm sure that's he got sent to a county juvenile center. (County park...where they do not let you leave.

Now the good news... The 13 year old is a general purpose vandal, he "Tags" buildings, Trees, Signs, and so on and so forth, and so that folks know who done it, He has a "TAG" signature.. If you have not guessed by now that what he scratched into the cars was his tag.... You are never going to be a detective.

And his little brother came down to see what the ruckus was Saw the scratching and said "Oh, That's my brother's tag signature" The park manager said "Oh, is that so, what site are you on" and .....
