We got our trip to Florida! Left Home (Indiana) Saturday afternoon after ensuring the back yard wasn't flooding any more because of all those rains we had, we ended up at Elizabethtown in Kentucky and stayed at a motel. Well, it rained all night there too. We kept the kitties in the trailer and dog and humans in the motel room.
Second night (Sunday) we made it to the KOA in Clanton, AL. Got there in the middle of a down-pour, after dark. Just couldn't drive any longer in all that rain and dark!
Monday made it to Falling Waters State Park, (Chipley, Florida).
Santa brought us all new dishes for the camper, all new blankets, sheets, and pillow cases, cups, bowls, saucers, coffee cups. Doggie got a new bed and his own blanket. Wife got 2 Kay Jeweler's rings and a Key's Jeweler's necklace. I got a mans sleeping night shirt, all the way from London, England (because they just don't make them in the US!) and a RC helicopter!
This has been a great Christmas gift for all of us! 750 miles one way! Great way to break-in a new camper!
FYI, we unwinterized at the KOA. We planned that, to be out of the snow-belt. It took all 5 minutes to run water through the lines to flush the "pink". We have 3 gallons of "pink" to winterize before heading back to Indiana Saturday.
We've got more planned for the remainder of our time ... trip to Panama City, the Gulf, maybe Mobile, Gulf Shores.
Our doggie is have a fantastic time. I've never seen him so excited!
