Hmmm. I was browsing trailer prices on eBay tonight and it looked like $5K was about the starting price. I don't want a cheap trailer that will fall apart. As for ease of loading, is it really easy and fast to strap down the Jeep on the trailer and secure it tight? Are there 4 strap holders? Are they easy to get to on the trailer?
Edit: I just did a search for PJ trailers and found some new metal car trailers (not covered) for $3,150. Are those good solid trailers?
We've had no problems with ours. ours is a 7500 pound cap dual Axel with electric brakes, white spoke wheels with load range D tires. and we do run TPMS on it.
We do not have a box trailer ours is 8.5' X 20' flat bed.
It doesn't require much trailer to haul a jeep.
I use chains to tie down, 2 short ones on the front Axel, back in to them, and 2 short ones on the back Axel with binders. quick, easy, simple . there are several tie down systems you can buy.
