When we were working, we usually would just use the time to relax, read, walk, and take the dog swimming. Many of our trips included visits with family. Since we retired, we tend to travel more for sightseeing. We still read, walk and find places to take the dog swimming. As for sightseeing, that depends on your interests. I enjoy seeing different geography and landforms. We like small doses of history and small doses of shopping. We like finding farm stands and local foods.
