There are a lot of options and it depends on how you will use it. Are you going to stay on a lake for several weeks or more that allow outboards? Are you a traveler and stay 3 days or less in one spot? where will you store the boat in or on the RV? How hard is it to set up and tear down for storage? I have a kayak and an inflatable, friend has a porta boat, another a zodiac. Friend with the porta boat stored it on the side of the MH. He did not like storing it there. The Zodiac took along time to set up and breakdown for storage with the inflatable seat and hard floor. I store my kayak on the tow car another friend on top of his MH. I don't feel comfortable on cross country trips storing it on top of tow car( for short local trips to river it is fine). On top of MH it was hard to get of and on. For cross country trips what I find best is a 3 man inflatable that takes 15 mins to inflate and its ready to use and I store it inside a basement door. It is reinforced fabric like a Zodiac but much lighter and quicker to set up.
