- tenbearExplorer2010 Subaru Impreza sedan. There are no restrictions but only the manual transmission Subarus may be towed 4 wheels down. It weighs about 3200 lbs so it is towable by most motorhomes.
- bamcoteExplorer2007 Saturn Vue AWD. Blue Ox base plate and a Readybrake Brute tow bar. Added lights to existing tail lenses.
- RWjSIM2003Explorer2013 Kia Soul Manual Trans. Roadmaster towbar and baseplates unified brake system. Great small toad we have towed over 7000 miles no issues.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIWe're towing our second Toyota RAV4. I installed the required Remco transmission pump, along with a Blue Ox base plate. We tow using a ReadyBrute Elite tow bar with an integrated ReadyBrake auxiliary brake system. We chose the RAV4 because we already had the first one, a 2002, and really liked it. When it was time for something newer, all of the tow gear except the base plate could be moved to a new 2011 RAV4, so that's what we did. They both tow well, and haven't given us any problems.
- lanerdExplorer IISee Signature.
Nothing...other than the std base plate, tow bar, wiring harness, and supplemental brakes.
Plug in the umbilical, turn the key to ACC, and put in neutral. It initially did require the removal of a fuse to disengage the items that typically are turned on with the key in ACC, but I replaced the fuse with a on/off lighted rocker switch.
