OMG Chuck I am sitting here in tears. I am so very sorry. I read yours and Gails posts all the time.
First I would wish they did everything they could to stay alive.
Having said that I am pretty sure you have done all you could.
Reading all these posts and the advice given is wonderful. I feel a man that can come in here and ask such a question would have already taken care of most of these things.
If I were Gail I don't think there are too many things that would help me, just time, and the knowledge that you are comfortable and not in any more pain and in Gods hands. Remind her of that all the time.
When we lose someone our tears are for our loss, not for the soul that has left us, but our own sorrow. Not much else matters but to know they are no longer suffering.
I am rambling a bit, I don't mean to, but I don't think I have ever been asked this before.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers Chuck.
