What glue or sealant

I want to reinsert the grey tank reducer (new 3inch by 2 inch) back into the grey tank. Any idea what sealant they used to hold this part in .When I took the old part out the sealant was very strong but flexible. Just want to use the right stuff. Thank you for your answers
