What gps do you use?
I have tried two types of gps, Garmin and Magellan. Both will failings. Am looking for best option. Google is good but I have to use data so I'd like one that doesn't require data. Any thoughts?

- Got 2 Garmins. One old and one newer. Both function well if you keep the maps and software up to date.
I do agree that I don't want to rely on a smartphone with a data requirement, so the Garmin standalone models work for me. They both have lifetime maps/software/traffic updates, and 4Square or uploaded POI files for POI info. - what about those you have tried did you not like?
