They offered you a site. You paid for it (which means you agreed to the terms and conditions). YOU then decided to take a lesser site (in your opinion), but you actually gained what you really wanted, more space, more seclusion. They offered you an in-house voucher for the price difference. I think the end result was fair.
Consider it a trade off and just move on. You got the site you wanted.
