Most RV's are self contained except for a generator. I will never stay at a campground where generators are commonly used. Too loud for the peace and quiet I want. I boondock and can last at least a week on battery unless I need to use the heater as the fan uses a lot of power. In those case I have used a generator but I don't camp in site or sound of anyone else. - mowermechExplorerThe most important things:
QUIET
and
DARK
and
NO cell service
good fishing within walking distance would be a plus (but NOT "catch and release").
Deer grazing within sight would also be a plus.
Our motorhome is self contained, so we don't need FHU.
It also has a shower, so we don't need a bath house.
We don't need wi fi.
We don't need (nor do we really want) pavement of any kind. - Lorne_LorraineExplorer

Doesn't matter. Prohibit pets and problem solved.
And those who bought their RVs so they could have their pets and travel? They should just stop RVing? Maybe you should make the effort to find RV parks that DO prohibit pets and not be angry about the ones that do.
The answer to BOTH of these is sooooooooooooo simple:
It clearly states on all the CG websites, reviews, searches, right in the amenities, and the old fashion phone call to the CG, whether they allow pets or not.
If you have a dog >>>>>>>>>>>stay at a CG that allows pets.
If you don't have a dog >>>>>stay at a CG that does not allow pets.
Problem solved.
I wish ...........
Anyway, on the topic, most important to me..........peace and quiet. Level spacious sites, clean rest rooms and full hook-ups are also important. Have given up on workable WIFI. - dave54NomadSpace between sites.

OP, all the good things about a campsite applies also if I can get it :) - CampinghossExplorer III agree with Rockhillmanor. Go to a cg that meets your requirements.
- campincoryExplorerCamping is a great family activity. I really dislike when I'm charged extra for my kids. That's why I choose to stay mostly at state parks, COE parks or private campgrounds that don't charge extra.

Good interior roads.
Pet friendly.
Wi Fi a must for DW.
Full h'ups a must for DW.
Quiet time enforced.
