We tow a 13 hyundai elantra. Have towed for over 10000 miles with only 1 issue (no charge line for battery, fixed at the 1st overnight stop). Good wide stance, less than 3000 lbs, 150HP direct injection engine. It came with almost all the extras for a base line vehicle. No electric seats! It gets on average 36+ mpg we used it a lot this past summer for day trips to hot springs or looking at the NP we visited. Have seen a few being towed most were the bigger ones behind the big class a's. But the best will be whatever fits your needs the best. Reason we got ours is that wife like the roominess when we rented one to go pick up the rv. rear seat folds down for lots of interior room if needed. Plus it was relatively inexpensive to buy, 100000 warrenty dont hurt either.
