WARRANTY
Seriously... how difficult is it to spell check?
Does anyone proof read anymore?
I guess I don't understand.
Warranty passes my spell checker.
Is warranty not a correct spelling? - IAMICHABODExplorer II

Anything worth doing, is worth doing right! It doesn't take that much effort. A well written and correctly spelled comment is much easier to read and understand. Most browsers will do spell check for you but they have limitations. I realize some participants here say it is no big deal but putting some effort into writing correctly is important to me. If you cannot distinguish simple spelling mistakes and make corrections you must not really care much about what you are saying. Some will take issue with this point of view but like it or not being able to communicate well in written form has immense benefits in the real world. All of us will occasionally make an error we miss when writing and that is not the issue. Constantly abusing the language in written form will get you written off as uneducated, and not someone to take seriously. Just my opinion.

Yup - that one, drives me, nuts. A comma means pause - sometimes it takes way too long to read a sentence with lots of commas because I naturally pause while reading them.
She tells me, I use way too many commas,,,,,,,,,,,,,, BTW.
But my favorite is Opps. It is Oops - 2 Os make the oo sound, not 2 Ps. :) - Wagonqueen_TrucExplorerI agree that most errors in spelling are a bit lazy...that said, I would think that a lot of the errors are simply the fact that some people just have difficulty with the letters on the keyboard. This finger want to hit a certain lettered key first, putting the correct letters out of place. I know...I know, you SHOULD proof read, but come on... don't crucify. My dad (at the age of 77) is lucky if he remembers how to spell my first name. It doesn't make him an idiot, just an old guy who has better things to think about, I suppose. I would much rather read misspelled words of someone who can teach me something, than the perfectly spelled manuscript of a bunch of bull sh* t.

My browser spell checks as I type and underlines misspelled words (both Firefox and Chrome do this).
x2. Lots of time I have red underlined words all over my post.
My favs though are;
I weighted my truck.
I want to sale my RV.
BUT THE WORST OF ALL IS WHEN PEOPLE USE THE BIG LETTERS WHEN THEY POST AND NEVER USE PERIODS OR COMMAS - Teacher_s_PetExplorer

That would be "proofread" and yes, some still do.

Scottiemom, a retired high school, vocational, business and computer applications teacher, is my primary spell-checker. I usually ask her if it doesn't look quite right. Any misspellings in a business letter was an "F", the same as it was, when she was in high school.

My sentiments exactly!
However, I still occasionally make misteaks. But, when I read what I have written, I usually find the errors and correct them BEFORE clicking "Post Message".
