What Is this? and Why Is it?

I have read MANY threads lately and there are a lot of people saying that they camp with their fir kids, FUR KIDS?

Do these people really think that an animal is a real person?

    I can only speak for myself and my wife, NO they are not humans but there is a bond there that is hard to describe. We have had several different cats over the years and I have had a couple of dogs. After 10 to 15years of that companionship and trust they give the feelings are real for us. Hope this helps to understand some.
