What mattress

I bought a slab of foam at an upholstery supplier, same as I use in my S & B, cut to fit.

Sleep number for us. In house and RV

We just bought a new mattress for our home. The old one was just and not nearly as comfortable as the one we have in our fiver. After a great deal of shopping around we settled on a Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid, which is wonderfully comfortable, and is also available for our fiver if we want one. I recommend that you get the dimensions for the mattress you need, including the thickness, and use that to shop for what you need. Buying a new mattress is alot like shopping for a used car. There are alot of sharks out there and it makes it hard to compare prices.

Love the sleep number bed! It is just the mattress on the bed board.

Do the foam toppers create heat. I remember buying one several years ago and hated it as I would wake up sweating due to the foam topper.

Anyone consider any of the new standard home size foam mattresses sold over the web?
Tuft and Needle and Casper seem to get good reviews.
They stuff them in a box and UPS/Fedex them to you.

We really like the 8" one we got at http://www.mattressinsider.com I was surprised when I got a phone call the next day confirming our order. DW is liking it better than the one in the S&B. Out for 1-2 months at time.

We put a 4" memory foam/gel mattress From Wal-Mart on the poor excuse that came in our trailer. We sleep much better now on it than we do at home.

Im looking at new mattresses as well. Did you use/have to use the foundation with your memory foam mattress? I see they sell "foundations", which replace standard box spring. I assume you don't use that in an RV, but just checking.

Nevermind. I see RV Queen doesn't use foundation.

The short queen mattress that came with my 'C' was terrible. If you tossed it on the floor, a dog wouldn't sleep on it. So I went to an "original mattress factory" store near where I live. No stores in Alabama, but several around Atlanta.
They measured my platform, estimated my weight (extra elephant) and built one that fit perfectly. And no more expensive than a standard queen from a big box store.
