what to see in Oregon

We live in Florida and have made 4 trips out west, but we have not been to Oregon or Washington.

Can you folks steer us to the best places out there to visit, considering that we favor wildlife and scenery. We've been to all the major things in Montana, The Dakotas, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona, and wondering if Oregon and Washington would be worth going the extra distance.

Traveling in a 32 foot fiver so we will be limited to rv parks with big enough spaces.
Thanks

  • Im with old guy. Oregon has three totally different regions with totally different climates. Coast, best to visit late August to mid October. Valley, anytime after July 5th. Centeral and Eastern Oregon, all summer. Being high desert regions it can get pretty hot in late July and August. Valley is mostly farm lands, but is a quick trip to the coast or mountains. There is still lots to see and do. Central has caving, lava flows, cinder cones, and fewer people. We have places like Crater Lake, Oregon Caves, historic Jacksonville, great logging museum, funky dining. We camp host during the summer for the state park system, and can tell you you will enjoy your visit to our wonderful diverse state. Just be prepared to make reservstions ahead of time. The state parks fill up early. Let us know your time frame and length of time you can give us. Will be glad to offer some suggestions on sites and places.
